I attended the inaugural Brain SoCal Med-Legal Conference put on by Brain Society of California on October 4 and 5, 2019 held at the historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. Hundreds of attorneys and medical professionals gathered to listen to preeminent health providers and lawyers provide advice, guidance, and counsel on how to handle a case involving a traumatic brain injury. Thank you to everyone who organized and spoke at the conference.
Brain injuries are one of the worst injuries that a person can sustain. Getting medical care for someone with a brain injury is of paramount importance. When a person's life is turned upside down due to a brain injury caused by someone else's negligent or intentional conduct, an experienced attorney can help connect the injured person with resources, such as doctors, nurses, mental health therapists, physical therapists, care givers, and many more professionals who can ensure that they receive the correct diagnosis, care, and treatment. An experienced attorney can also help injured people obtain financial security to ensure that they are able to pay for such diagnosis, care, and treatment.
Brain injuries are often called invisible injuries, but they can have a profound impact on a persons life. When someone else is liable for causing a brain injury, it is of the utmost importance for the injured person to get best medical and legal care possible.
